The collection of paintings from my exhibition "Roots" describes a journey, a path, and a feeling. After years of travel and adventure, you belong everywhere and nowhere. But your roots still reach deep into the ground, to the place you're from: the forest and the hills.

The exhibition brings forth thoughts about landscape and our connection to it. Are humans merely observers experiencing and sensing the landscape, or are we part of the sentient landscape, naturally merging in it?

Also, is the idea of “roots” connected to an actual place, or is it a feeling, a dreamlike world that can be anywhere?

The exhibition consists of acrylic and oil paintings created in the year 2023.
